FAQs

  • Pest Control

    • All our products are EPA-registered. We ask that you wait for the treatment to dry before using the treated area. We follow the label explicitly, and the products are approved for use in and around homes with pets.

    • Most products are applied into cracks and crevices and out of reach of children. Each of our applications is targeted for the pest you are having issues with. Once the treatment area is dry, you may continue to use that area. We follow the label explicitly, and the products are approved for use in homes with children.

    • Our exclusive Barrier 360 treatment is applied around the perimeter of your home, to prevent pests from getting in. Occasionally, as with bed bugs, rodents, and some other pests, we’ll need to work inside your home as well. Barrier 360 is an exterior treatment that guards against 11 pests from entering your home. If they get in, we will come in and treat them according to our service protocols.
      • Ants: Barrier 360 prevents interior infestation of most ants. 80% of all pests enter from the exterior of your home. Fire ants and carpenter ants will require custom service. Call us for more details.
      • Termites: Termite control and elimination require an inspection and assessment by our technician. The process and protocol for termites depends on the extent of your infestation and damage. Call us for more details.
      • Fleas: Fleas can present a challenge, and a complete inspection of the interior of your home and adjacent property is required. Call us for more details.
      • Cockroaches: We can help you take back your property from cockroaches. Our Barrier 360 treatment around the outside of your home can prevent cockroaches from entering in the first place. In certain situations, a complete inspection of the interior of your home may be necessary.
      • Rodents: Our rodent protocol varies depending on the degree of infestation and type of rodent. An extensive inspection and evaluation must be performed both in the interior and exterior of your home
      • Bees (carpenter): An exterior inspection and evaluation of the exterior of your home or property is critical to determine the extent of an infestation. We can then provide the appropriate service to eradicate the Carpenter bee infestation.
      • Wasps and hornets: We can remove wasps and hornets from outside your home. And if they do make it inside, just give us a call and we will perform additional treatments at no extra cost.
      • Spiders: Our Barrier 360 treatment will protect your home from most types of spiders, but if they do get in, we will perform an interior treatment at no extra cost.
      • Bed bugs: We will perform a full inspection and assessment of your bed bug infestation to design a treatment and prevention plan.
    • Our exclusive Barrier 360 protocol is designed to use products according to the label and EPA-registered. If you have questions about the process or products we will use at your home, give us a call and we can discuss.
    • We do recommend regular service frequency to maintain your pest-free environment. However, we do not require contracts. You may be required to sign a service agreement according to your state law, but the Pest Authority will never require a commitment or oblige you to the terms of a contract. You can effortlessly cancel at any time with a phone call or email.
    • Depending on your location, Pest Authority will treat your property on either a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly schedule. Call your local office to see what is recommended in your region. If you have problems with pests between scheduled treatments, we will return and if necessary, re-treat for your problem at no additional cost.
    • Prices vary by location and size of property. Give us a call at (470) 688-2713 to schedule a treatment.

    • We treat the area immediately surrounding your house, to prevent pests from entering your home. We avoid flowering or fruiting plants and trees.

  • Rodents

    • Your Pest Authority technician starts with a full property inspection to find entry points, travel routes and nesting locations. From there we use targeted treatment strategies for the rodents you have, apply Barrier360 perimeter protection around the exterior of your home, and use trapping and exclusion to remove active populations. We schedule follow-up visits to keep your home protected.
    • Professional rodent control works by finding and treating the source of the problem, not just the rodents you see. We assess entry points, nesting activity and the full scope of the infestation, then pair species-specific rodent control with Barrier360 perimeter protection to help stop rodents from getting back inside. Follow-up visits keep that protection in place year-round.
    • Rat control starts with an inspection to confirm where rats are getting in, how they move through your property and where they are nesting. Rats can chew through electrical wiring, lead and cinder block, so we pair targeted treatment strategies for rats with trapping and exclusion and Barrier360 perimeter protection. Our technicians are trained and certified through our Authority Pro Certification program.
    • Professional rodent control works because it treats what is actually happening at your property instead of relying on traps alone. Store-bought traps rarely solve the problem behind your walls or around your foundation. We inspect first, treat the entry points, travel routes and nesting areas we find, and follow up on a schedule so rodents have fewer chances to return.
    • Yes. We use EPA-approved products and apply them with precision, focused on the areas where rodents are active. Once treatment is complete, your home is safe for children and pets to resume normal activities. If you have questions about a specific product or area of your home, your technician will walk you through it.
    • Rodent service includes a full property inspection and, if rodents are found inside, interior treatment, so we will need access to the inside of your home. Your local Pest Authority team will confirm timing and access when you schedule.

    • Visit length depends on the size of your property and how far the infestation has spread, since we inspect the full property for entry points, travel routes and nesting locations. Your local Pest Authority team can give you a time estimate when you schedule.
    • We combine trapping and exclusion with Barrier360 perimeter protection around the exterior of your home, then return for scheduled follow-up visits to maintain year-round coverage. You can help by storing food in sealed containers, covering garbage cans and sealing gaps around pipes, vents and your foundation. We do not require long-term contracts.
    • Store-bought traps rarely solve the problem behind the walls or around the foundation, because they do not show you where rodents are entering, traveling or nesting. Our technicians inspect the whole property and treat what is actually happening, and every technician is extensively trained and certified. That is usually easier than piecing together a DIY fix.
    • Look for a company that inspects before it treats, uses EPA-approved products and has trained, certified technicians. Pest Authority is locally owned and operated and held to national service standards, every technician is trained and certified, and our rodent control comes with no long-term commitment.
    • Cost varies by location, the size of your property and how far the infestation has spread. Call us at (888) 564-4553 or request a free quote, and your local Pest Authority team will build a plan around what we find.
  • Ticks

    • We start with a full property inspection to identify high-activity tick zones, then treat yard perimeters, brush lines and ground cover where ticks build up. Our technicians return on a scheduled cycle to stay ahead of each lifecycle stage, and we follow up inside the home if ticks are found there.
    • Our technicians inspect your property, target active tick populations in shaded edges, wooded borders and taller ground cover, and return on a recurring schedule to help keep your yard protected through every season. We use science-backed methods that target ticks at every stage of their lifecycle.
    • We do not blanket spray and move on. We treat the harborage zones where ticks build up, like property edges, wooded borders, brush lines and taller ground cover, and return on a set schedule. Because our local team knows how tick pressure builds in your area, we focus on the places that matter most.
    • Yes. Our tick control treatments are EPA-approved and designed with your household in mind. Once treatments dry, they are safe for kids and pets to be around.
    • Yes. We return on a scheduled cycle to help keep your yard protected through every season, so service does not stop after peak months. Your local team will set the schedule for your property.
  • Wasps and Hornets

    • Our technicians locate the nest, treat it and remove wasps and hornets from outside your home. If they do make it inside, give us a call and we will perform additional treatments.

    • We do not recommend it. Wasps and hornets defend their nests when disturbed, which makes DIY removal risky. Our trained technicians can remove them from outside your home so you do not have to take that risk.
    • All of our products are EPA-registered, and we follow the label explicitly. We ask that you wait for the treatment to dry before using the treated area, and the products are approved for use in and around homes with children and pets.
    • Yes. An exterior inspection and evaluation of your home or property is critical to determine the extent of a carpenter bee infestation. We then provide the appropriate service to eliminate it.
