Midlands Pest Control for Your Whole Property, Every Month of the Year
Your home and yard in the Midlands face pest pressure that runs nearly year-round, with the heat, humidity, and proximity to the Congaree River watershed keeping cockroaches, ants, and termites active through most of the calendar. Pest Authority of Columbia, SC delivers pest control services for homes and businesses across the Columbia area, covering the full range of insects, rodents, wood-destroying pests, and wildlife that come with South Carolina's climate.
Our technicians conduct a thorough property assessment, identifying entry points, moisture concerns, and active infestations, then build an elimination plan around your home's specific pest risks before any preventive coverage begins. Barrier 360 then builds a protective perimeter around your foundation and entry points, working against ants, cockroaches, spiders, and related pests to prevent new activity from reaching the inside of your home.
In Columbia, the combination of warm temperatures, clay-heavy soils, and high humidity sustains fire ant colonies, subterranean termites, and American cockroaches well past the typical pest season in most of the country. We are locally owned and operated, serving homes and businesses throughout the Midlands, with trained technicians who return on schedule to maintain your coverage and address seasonal pest shifts as they arrive.

Understanding Pest Season in the South Carolina Midlands
The South Carolina Midlands sit in a humid subtropical climate where long summers and mild winters keep pest activity elevated for most of the year. In Columbia, homeowners contend with fire ants and American cockroaches through the warm months, subterranean termites working silently in structural wood and soil, and ticks and mosquitoes active from early spring through late fall.
Termite damage in the Midlands often goes undetected until structural repairs become significant, and fire ant colonies reestablish across lawns each season without consistent treatment. Most pest control companies respond only when infestations surface, but a professional exterminator operating on a recurring schedule addresses the full pest cycle and keeps new pressure from reaching the interior of your home.
Safe Treatments, Flexible Scheduling, No Long-Term Commitment
Every treatment applied by our team carries EPA approval and meets regulatory standards for household use.
Once dry, treatments are safe for children and pets, and our methods do not affect pollinators, including bees. Service runs on a no-commitment basis with scheduling built around your household's routine, and a free estimate outlines the full scope before any work begins.

Ants: Barrier 360 prevents interior infestation of most ants. 80% of all pests enter from the exterior of your home. Fire ants and carpenter ants will require custom service. Call us for more details.
Termites: Termite control and elimination require an inspection and assessment by our technician. The process and protocol for termites depends on the extent of your infestation and damage. Call us for more details.
Fleas: Fleas can present a challenge, and a complete inspection of the interior of your home and adjacent property is required. Call us for more details.
Cockroaches: We can help you take back your property from cockroaches. Our Barrier 360 treatment around the outside of your home can prevent cockroaches from entering in the first place. In certain situations, a complete inspection of the interior of your home may be necessary.
Rodents: Our rodent protocol varies depending on the degree of infestation and type of rodent. An extensive inspection and evaluation must be performed both in the interior and exterior of your home
Bees (carpenter): An exterior inspection and evaluation of the exterior of your home or property is critical to determine the extent of an infestation. We can then provide the appropriate service to eradicate the Carpenter bee infestation.
Wasps and hornets: We can remove wasps and hornets from outside your home. And if they do make it inside, just give us a call and we will perform additional treatments at no extra cost.
Spiders: Our Barrier 360 treatment will protect your home from most types of spiders, but if they do get in, we will perform an interior treatment at no extra cost.
Bed bugs: We will perform a full inspection and assessment of your bed bug infestation to design a treatment and prevention plan.
Our exclusive Barrier 360 treatment is applied around the perimeter of your home, to prevent pests from getting in. Occasionally, as with bed bugs, rodents, and some other pests, we’ll need to work inside your home as well. Barrier 360 is an exterior treatment that guards against 11 pests from entering your home. If they get in, we will come in and treat them according to our service protocols.
