Pest Pressure and Seasonal Activity on Colorado's Front Range
Pest Authority of Northern, CO serves the northern Front Range, an area where the seasons truly dictate pest behavior. During warm summers, the region's irrigated farmland, lakes, and river corridors create the perfect environment for mosquitoes, ticks, ants, and wasps. As temperatures drop, the outdoor season may slow down, but the colder months bring their own challenges. Cockroaches, rodents, and spiders often head indoors to seek warmth in homes and businesses across Larimer and Weld counties.
We also stay vigilant about specific regional risks, such as the Rocky Mountain wood tick, which is active from March through September. Additionally, because deer mouse populations carry potential health risks, consistent rodent management is vital for your peace of mind. While many companies only act after an infestation starts, we believe in staying ahead of the curve. Our recurring, professional schedule helps you address these pests proactively so you can enjoy your home without worry.
Built for Your Family and Schedule
We choose EPA-approved treatments because we care about your family’s safety. After our treatments have dried, they are perfectly safe for your children and pets to play around. Plus, our formulas protect important pollinators like bees, so your garden stays healthy.
You can enjoy our services without any long-term commitments, and our friendly technicians are happy to work around your busy schedule. We start with a free estimate to show you exactly how we can help, and there is never any pressure to sign up for more than what your home actually needs.

Ants: Barrier 360 prevents interior infestation of most ants. 80% of all pests enter from the exterior of your home. Fire ants and carpenter ants will require custom service. Call us for more details.
Termites: Termite control and elimination require an inspection and assessment by our technician. The process and protocol for termites depends on the extent of your infestation and damage. Call us for more details.
Fleas: Fleas can present a challenge, and a complete inspection of the interior of your home and adjacent property is required. Call us for more details.
Cockroaches: We can help you take back your property from cockroaches. Our Barrier 360 treatment around the outside of your home can prevent cockroaches from entering in the first place. In certain situations, a complete inspection of the interior of your home may be necessary.
Rodents: Our rodent protocol varies depending on the degree of infestation and type of rodent. An extensive inspection and evaluation must be performed both in the interior and exterior of your home
Bees (carpenter): An exterior inspection and evaluation of the exterior of your home or property is critical to determine the extent of an infestation. We can then provide the appropriate service to eradicate the Carpenter bee infestation.
Wasps and hornets: We can remove wasps and hornets from outside your home. And if they do make it inside, just give us a call and we will perform additional treatments at no extra cost.
Spiders: Our Barrier 360 treatment will protect your home from most types of spiders, but if they do get in, we will perform an interior treatment at no extra cost.
Bed bugs: We will perform a full inspection and assessment of your bed bug infestation to design a treatment and prevention plan.
Our exclusive Barrier 360 treatment is applied around the perimeter of your home, to prevent pests from getting in. Occasionally, as with bed bugs, rodents, and some other pests, we’ll need to work inside your home as well. Barrier 360 is an exterior treatment that guards against 11 pests from entering your home. If they get in, we will come in and treat them according to our service protocols.
