Other Pest Control in St. Simons Island

One Exterior Treatment Covers 11 Household Pests

Not every pest is easy to identify. A tiny beetle near a window, a silver insect in the bathroom, or dozens of millipedes around a patio may leave you wondering what entered your property and how to control it. We identify unfamiliar household nuisance pests and address many of them through Barrier 360, our exterior perimeter treatment.

Warm temperatures, high humidity, tidal creeks, and nearby salt marsh habitat sustain pest activity throughout the year in St. Simons Island. The marsh environment also supports sand gnats, which many inland Georgia property owners rarely encounter. We provide residential and commercial pest control informed by these Golden Isles conditions.

Request a free, no-obligation pest inspection by calling (912) 325-7736. We can identify the activity and explain the appropriate next step.

How Barrier 360 Creates an Exterior Pest Barrier

Barrier 360 helps stop pests at the exterior before they reach the interior of a property. One application covers 11 pest types: ants, carpet beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, millipedes, moths, pill bugs, silverfish, and spiders.

Because one application covers such a broad range of pests, many lesser-known invaders don’t require an entirely separate service. Our technicians inspect the activity, identify the likely pest, and determine whether the treatment fits the problem.

Authority Pro Certified Technicians with Golden Isles Knowledge

We’re locally owned and operated, so our approach reflects Golden Isles pest patterns rather than relying only on national protocols. Our Authority Pro Certified Technicians train to national industry standards and know how to apply them under coastal Georgia conditions.

We use EPA-approved pest treatments designed for use around children and pets once dry. Service doesn’t require a long-term contract, and customers can adjust or cancel at any time. Every service also includes our 100% satisfaction guarantee: No Contracts. No Commitments. No Pests. Guaranteed.

Call (912) 325-7736 or submit the site’s contact form to request an inspection for your home or commercial property.

Is It a Carpet Beetle, Centipede, or Cricket?

Appearance, location, and damage patterns can help you narrow down which pest you’ve found. An inspection can then confirm the pest and where the activity is coming from.

Carpet Beetles

Adult carpet beetles are oval and may be black, brown, or white, sometimes with spots or bands. Common varieties include black, varied, and common carpet beetles. Varied carpet beetle larvae are light brown and covered in barbed hairs, giving them the appearance of tiny caterpillars.

Adults often enter through an open door or window before laying eggs near a food source. Although carpet beetles aren’t dangerous to people, their larvae can damage wool, silk, felt, animal hair, rugs, clothing, furniture, and drapes. Irregular damage beneath carpets or rugs and holes in animal-based fabrics may signal an infestation.

Centipedes

House centipedes have flat, segmented bodies, long antennae, and anywhere from 15 to 177 pairs of legs. They use venom to subdue prey but rarely bite people. When bites occur, they typically cause mild to moderate irritation.

Centipedes favor damp areas, including bathrooms, sinks, bathtubs, closets, basements, and crawl spaces. Finding them indoors may point to excess moisture that also attracts other pests.

Crickets

House crickets are generally yellowish-brown with three dark bands across the head. Their chirping and ability to jump long distances often reveal them before they’re seen.

Crickets usually live outside but may move indoors when conditions become too hot or dry. They favor moist basements, bathrooms, and crawl spaces. While harmless to people, they can damage clothing and other fabrics.
